How to Embrace Self Love in 5 Steps

We all know it can be difficult to totally achieve self-love. Maybe we think our nose is too big, or we've just had a breakout. Those perceived negative traits can get in the way of seeing the beauty in ourselves. Many women struggle with this, but there's just as much about you to love! At Onne Beauty we want you to embrace your Onne-derful self. That's why for today's Eunoia Edit, we have put together some of our top tips for being at Onne with yourself.

Wake up early

You'd be surprised what a full 8 hours of rest and an early start can do to make you feel refreshed! Make sure to actually get out of bed straight away, instead of reaching for your phone. You don't want to start the day feeling groggy and cranky if you try to catch a quick sleep-in!

Keep up regular activity

Now that you're up and about, it's time to get that blood pumping! Morning exercise is perfect for improving focus, mental capacity and physical fitness. Decide on a workout that you like best, and stick to it. This might be riding your bike, a quick 10-minute circuit, or laps at your local pool. Exercising regularly will help you feel energised and ready to take on the rest of the day. Don't be afraid to start with low intensity and work your way up to longer routines!

Don't forget to have breakfast

It's not the most important meal of the day for nothing! A good, nutritious breakfast can mean the difference between a good day and an average one. With a regular diet of three healthy meals per day, your mood and energy will be positively uplifted. So don't feel guilty about that smashed avocado on toast with goat's cheese, and treat yourself to a bit of self-love. Throw in an iced latte while you're at it as well!

Look for the positives

The next time you're doing your daily beauty routine, take some time to look at yourself in the mirror.
