The ONNE Beautiful Story

Beginning

The development of ONNE evolved very organically. It was a response to perfectly timed personal, environmental and professional changes in my life. I have always believed that things happen for a reason; people come into and exit your life to teach you valuable lessons, things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they are right and things fall apart so better things fall together. Every interaction you have will teach you something and eventually serve its purpose. It was these different experiences and events that started to trigger a different way of thinking, living, and researching that led me to the all-natural beauty space.

Growing up I was always fiercely creative and motivated to make a difference. If I wasn't outside in nature, I would be making something, whether it be designing, painting or constructing garments. I loved and still, love everything about the process of creating and seeing this finished product.

After studying Textile design and working in that field for a year, I felt like I was missing something. I wanted to live with a sense of adventure. I wanted to do something different. To learn about different cultures, so at 22 I packed up and moved to the Middle East.

Middle

Always living a fairly healthy lifestyle, making sure I ate well and doing exercise, the thing that I struggled with the most was my skin. I never liked wearing a huge amount of makeup, so even the smallest blemish was something I would fret over as I didn't like the idea of having to cover it. In my early to mid 20's I had many issues with mainstream products that would lead to rashes and totally disrupt the texture of my skin for months.

Not only were products causing me issues, but environmental factors and certain foods were also wreaking havoc on my skin. Living abroad, I was exposed to a myriad of different cultures and natural remedies that I started to experiment and play around with. I was just starting my journey into the clean beauty world when I crossed paths with a lady. We spoke at length and she sparked my curiosity on synthetic chemicals in skincare.

After researching all the ingredients in the line up of products I was using at the time. Then, I found myself wanting to make a change and start living a cleaner life both internally and externally. I started to eat cleaner, cutting out sugars and eating whole foods.

I then started to wash my hair with a soap bar that I made from natural and organic ingredients. The products that I was still struggling to find were all-natural skincare that was effective on my skin. With this being something that I felt was needed for me to live a healthy balanced life I started researching ingredients and writing down the ones I loved and what I felt would work together.

Onne

This was the birth of ONNE - from my own need and frustrations I had started to process of formulating. I began to experiment with these ingredients in my kitchen and it wasn't long until I then started working with a team of formulators in Australia that are highly regarded in the all-natural space globally.

The brief was simple - to create beautiful effective skincare. Also, with clean and fully traceable ingredients, for even the most complex complexions. A collection that would cover numerous issues as no one's skin is one and the same. A range and a brand that inspires people to look after themselves as a whole.

The ONNE collection is designed to do just that. To clean and nourish your skin to enable it to glow naturally.
